‘And then it came on of course and it got cancelled and I didn’t see anyone and I was absolutely devastated. I haven’t not seen my family at Christmas in my whole life.’
Referring to the millions of others who went without seeing loved ones and indeed lost loved ones to Covid-19, she added: ‘And I’m only not seeing my family, and what about those who lost people?’

He said the government’s top civil servant Simon Case would be looking into the situation – even though Downing Street will not confirm he was not one of those at the alleged party.
